Periodization/Training Plan
For skaters who are Tier 1, part of being Tier 1 is that you have a periodization/training plan that we are following. It helps us gauge the consistently of your elements as well as monitor the intensity of each day for you. It helps us to know which days have high workloads, and which days have less, and it also helps us know when to taper you down for a competition.
All of this is done to help prevent injury and to have some research behind how you are skating.
Some Tier 2 skaters may need a general training plan depending upon their goal.
All skaters who need to utilize a training plan are expected to follow it. It isn’t in your contract, but it will be part of your success as a skater.
