Off Ice Practice!

Week of March 11- Do this List 3 Times this Week & Keep Track of How Many You do in Your Skating Journal & Show Melissa!

  1. Walk in Clown Car for 30 seconds

  2. Do 20 Walking Forward Lunges

  3. Do 30 Walking Backwards Lunges

  4. Jump Rope- Do 100 Jumps on 2 feet, 30 on each leg and work on any jump rope tricks you know for 3 minutes

  5. Hold your spiral on each foot for 20 seconds- do it on each leg two times. Keep your leg higher than your hip and hold your balance so you are as still as possible.

  6. Stand in air position. Feel your muscles being strong and tight. Get your balance, close your eyes, and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.

  7. Do big forward skips- 20 altogether

  8. Do 20 “Skater Skips” with flock and air position- ask Melissa if you don’t know these

  9. 5 Axel Walk-Throughs

  10. 10 Axels

  11. 10 Push Ups, Rest for 30 seconds, Do another 10 Push Ups

  12. Spinboard- Salchow jump off spin board- 5 times

  13. Spinboard- Loop jump off spin board- 5 times

  14. Spinboard- Flip jump off spin board- 5 times

  15. 10 Shoot the Ducks on Each Leg

  16. Hold your Standing Split position for 10 seconds or longer on each leg. Make sure your knees are straight!

  17. Hold your landing position still for 10 seconds, and then diamond and diamond again as you step forward and exit the landing position- do this three times.
